Mine took longer than the recipe called for, but these are enjoyable. I added some parmesan to mine— probably about a tablespoon. Next time I will try a higher temperature than the 225F. Second time did it at 250 and the times worked leaving oven on. If cooked at 300F I cook 30 minutes and rotate and then do 30 minutes then turn oven to 250 for about 10 minutes or until finished browning.Adding a bit of shredded cheddar- makes for nice co!
1 cup cottage cheese
1 tablespoon whipping cream
1 tablespoon Parmesan ( optional) cheddar is better!
Directions in video. He cooks 40 minutes then rotates the baking sheet and cooks 40 more minutes. Then shuts off the oven leaving in for another 20– I had to leave my oven on for those last 20. I am going to up the temperature some on my next try. See above for quicker times.
Note: When I use good culture cottage cheese 4% I just spoon from container onto parchment paper lined pan and then sprinkle on the cheddar. Then bake at 300f as mentioned above!
He said it really doesn’t cost much energy at this low temperature even though cooking long times.
